فصل دوم
1. Nu! the hiding of Hadit.
1. نو خفاي هديت
2. Come! all ye, and learn the secret that hath not yet been revealed. I, Hadit, am the
complement of Nu, my bride. I am not extended, and Khabs is the name of my House.
2. بشتابيد! همه شما، و سري را بياموزيد كه تا كنون آشكار نشده است. من، هديت مكمل نو عروسم هستم.
من توسع نيافته ام، و خابز نام منزل من است.
3. In the sphere I am everywhere the centre, as she, the circumference, is nowhere found.
3. در گوي، من همه سو مركزم، همانطور كه اؤ، محيط، جايي يافت نمي شود.
4. Yet she shall be known & I never.
4. همچنان اؤ شناخته خواهد شد و من هرگز.
5. Behold! the rituals of the old time are black. Let the evil ones be cast away; let the
good ones be purged by the prophet! Then shall this Knowledge go aright.
5. آگاه باش! آيينهاي هاي زمان دور سياهند. بگذار پليدان رانده شدند؛ بگذار نيكان بوسيله پيغامبر پالوده
شوند! آنگاه اين دانش در صراط مستقيم خواهد رفت.
6. I am the flame that burns in every heart of man, and in the core of every star. I am Life,
and the giver of Life, yet therefore is the knowledge of me the knowledge of death.
6. من بارقه اي هستم كه در همه قلوب مردمان مي سوزد، و در هسته همه ستاره ها. من زندگي هستم، و
دهنده زندگي آنگاه كه دانش من وجود دارد دانش مرگ.
7. I am the Magician and the Exorcist. I am the axle of the wheel, and the cube in the
circle. "Come unto me" is a foolish word, for it is I that go.
لفظ ابلهانه « به سوي من آي » . 7. من جادوگر هستم و صاحب نفس من محور چرخم، و مكعب درون دايره
اي است، چراكه منم كه مي روم.
8. Who worshipped Heru-pa-kraath have worshipped me; ill, for I am the worshipper.
8. آنكه هور−پا−كرات را پرستيد مرا پرستيد؛ به خطا، چراكه من پرستنده ام.
9. Remember all ye that existence is pure joy; that all the sorrows are but as shadows;
they pass & are done; but there is that which remains.
9. همه شما به ياد داشته باشيد كه هستي لذت خالص است؛ كه همه غمها تنها سايه هايند؛ مي گذرند و به
انجام مي رسند؛ ولي آن است كه مي ماند.
10. O prophet! thou hast ill will to learn this writing.
10 . اي پيغامبر! به خطا خواسته اي اين مكتوب را بياموزي.
11. I see thee hate the hand and the pen; but I am stronger.
11 . مي دانم تو از دست و قلم متنفري؛ ولي من قوي ترم.
12. Because of me in Thee which thou knewest not.
12 . به خاطر من در تو كه نشناختي.
13. for why? Because thou wast the knower, and me.
13 . به چه رو؟ چون تو داننده بودي، و من.
14. Now let there be a veiling of this shrine: now let the light devour men and eat them up
with blindness!
14 . حال بگذار حجابي از اين زيارتگاه باشد: حال بگذار نور مردان را ببلعد و آنان را كور بخورد.
15. For I am perfect, being Not; and my number is nine by the fools; but with the just I
am eight, and one in eight: Which is vital, for I am none indeed. The empress and the
King are not of me; for there is a further secret.
15 . چراكه من كاملم، هيچ هستم؛ و عددم در نظر ابلهان نه است؛ ولي با داد هشتم، و يك در هشت: كه حتمي
است، چون بي شك نهم. شهبانو و شاه از من نيستن؛ چراكه سر والاتري هست.
16. I am the Empress & the Hierophant. Thus eleven, as my bride is eleven,
16 . من شهبانو و كشيش اعظم هستم. پس يازده، مانند عروسم كه يازده است.

Hear me, ye people of sighing!
The sorrows of pain and regret
Are left to the dead and the dying,
The folk that not know me as yet.
گوش فرا دهيد، اي مردم نظاره گر!
غمهاي درد و افسوس
براي مرده و مردني باقي گذارده مي شوند،
قومي كه هنوز مرا نشناخته است.
18. These are dead, these fellows; they feel not. We are not for the poor and sad: the lords
of the earth are our kinsfolk.
18 . اينها مردگانند، اين افراد، احساس نمي كنند. ما از براي ضعيف و غم آلود نيستيم: سروران زمين
خويشاوندان ما هستند.
19. Is a God to live in a dog? No! but the highest are of us. They shall rejoice, our
chosen: who sorroweth is not of us.
19 . آيا يك خدا را زندگي در يك سگ رواست؟ خير! ولي والاترينان از مايند. مي بايد شادي كنند، برگزيده
ما: آنكه غم مي برد از ما نيست.
20. Beauty and strength, leaping laughter and delicious languor, force and fire, are of us.
20 . زيبايي و قدرت، خنده بلند بالا خاموشي لذيذ، نيرو و آتش، از ما هستند.
21. We have nothing with the outcast and the unfit: let them die in their misery. For they
feel not. Compassion is the vice of kings: stamp down the wretched & the weak: this is
the law of the strong: this is our law and the joy of the world. Think not, o king, upon that
lie: That Thou Must Die: verily thou shalt not die, but live. Now let it be understood: If
the body of the King dissolve, he shall remain in pure ecstasy for ever. Nuit! Hadit! Ra-
Hoor-Khuit! The Sun, Strength & Sight, Light; these are for the servants of the Star and
the Snake.

21 . ما را با رانده و ناشايست كاري نيست: بگذار در محنت خود بميرند. چراكه احساس نمي كنند. همدردي
فساد پادشاهان است: بر رنجور و ضعيف برچسب بزن: اين قانون قوي است: اين قانون ما و لذت جهان
است. فكر نكن، اي شاه، به آن دروغ: كه تو بايد بمير : ي هرآينه تو نخواهي مرد، بل زندگي خواهي كرد. حال
بگذار دانسته شود: اگر بدن شاه آب شود، تا ابد در خلسه ناب خواهد ماند. نوت! هديت! را−هور−خوت!
خورشيد، قدرت و بينش، نو ، ر اينان براي خادمين ستاره و مار هستند.
22. I am the Snake that giveth Knowledge & Delight and bright glory, and stir the hearts
of men with drunkenness. To worship me take wine and strange drugs whereof I will tell
my prophet & be drunk thereof! It is a lie, this folly against self. The exposure of
innocence is a lie. Be strong, o man! lust, enjoy all things of sense and rapture; fear not
that any god shall deny thee for this.
22 . من ماري هستم كه دانش و شعف و شكوه درخشان مي دهد، و قلوب مردمان را با مستي به جنب و
جوش در مي آورد. براي پرستش من شراب و داروهاي غريب را از جايي برگير كه به پيغامبرم خواهم گفت
و بدانسو مست باش! اين يك دروغ است، اين نابخردي در برابر نفس. افشاي معصوميت يك دروغ است.
قوي باش، اي مرد! شهوت، از همه چيز حس و جذبه لذت ببر؛ نترس كه خدايي اين را بر تو انكار كند.
23. I am alone: there is no God where I am.
23 . من تنهايم: جايي كه هستم خدايي نيست.
24. Behold! these be grave mysteries; for there are also of my friends who be hermits.
Now think not to find them in the forest or on the mountain; but in beds of purple,
caressed by magnificent beasts of women with large limbs, and fire and light in their
eyes, and masses of flaming hair about them; there shall ye find them. Ye shall see them
at rule, at victorious armies, at all the joy; and there shall be in them a joy a million times
than this. Beware lest any force another, King against King! Love one another with
burning hearts; on the low men trample in the fierce lust of your pride, in the day of your
wrath.
24 . آگاه باش! اينها رموزي خطير باشند؛ چرا كه دوستان من نيز هستند كه زاهد باشند. حال فكر نكن آنها را
در جنگل يا روي كوه پيدا كني؛ بل در تختهاي ارغواني، هم آغوش با زنان شكوهمند ديو با بازوان بزرگ، و
آتش و نور در چشمانشان، و انبوهي از موي شعله ور در اطرافشان؛ آنجا پيدايشان خواهي كرد. آنان را در
حكمراني خواهي ديد، در ارتشان پيروزمند، در لذت تمام؛ و در آنان لذتي يك مليون بار بيش از اين باشد.
مبادا از هر نيروي ديگر بر حذر باشي، شاه در مقابل شاه با قلوبي سوزان به يكديگر عشق ورزيد؛ بر
مردم دون پايمال در شهوت درنده غرور شما، در روز غضب خود.
25. Ye are against the people, O my chosen.
25 . تو در مقابل مردمي، اي برگزيده ام.
26. I am the secret Serpent coiled about to spring: in my coiling there is joy. If I lift up
my head, I and my Nuit are one. If I droop down mine head, and shoot forth venom, then
is rapture of the earth, and I and the earth are one.
26 . من مار سري چنبره زده آماده به جهشم: در چنبره ام لذت است. اگر سرم را بلند كنم، من و نوتم يكي
هستيم. اگر سرم را پايين افكنم، و زهرم را پرتاب كنم، جذبه زمين است، و من و زمين يكي هستيم.
27. There is great danger in me; for who doth not understand these runes shall make a
great miss. He shall fall down into the pit called Because, and there he shall perish with
the dogs of Reason.
27 . خطر بزرگي در من است؛ او را كه اين نشان در نمي يابد را، فقدان عظيمي حاصل شده است. در گودالي
خواهد افتاد كه زيرا ناميده شده است، و آنجا به وسيله سگان دليل هلاك خواهد شد.
28. Now a curse upon Because and his kin!
28 . حال لعنتي بر زيرا و خويشانش باد!
29. May Because be accursed for ever!
29 . باشد كه زيرا تا ابد ملعون باشد!
30. If Will stops and cries Why, invoking Because, then Will stops & does nought.
30 . اگر اراده متوقف شود و فرياد چرا برآورد، طلب زيرا كند، آنگاه اراده متوقف مي شود و هيچ نمي كند.
31. If Power asks why, then is Power weakness.
31 . اگر قدرت بپرسد چرا، آنگاه قدرت ضعف است.
32. Also reason is a lie; for there is a factor infinite & unknown; & all their words are
skew-wise.
32 . همچنين دليل يك دروغ است؛ چرا كه عاملي نامحدود و ناشناخته وجود دارد؛ و همه كلماتشان دانايي
اريبي هستند.
33. Enough of Because! Be he damned for a dog!
33 . زيرا بس است! باشد كه آن به يك سگ لعنت شود!
34. But ye, o my people, rise up & awake!
34 . ولي شما، اي مردم من، برخيزيد و بيدار شويد!
35. Let the rituals be rightly performed with joy & beauty!
36 . بگذاريد آيينها به درستي با لذت و زيبايي اجرا شوند!
36. There are rituals of the elements and feasts of the times.
36 . آيينهاي عناصر و ضيافتهاي دورانها وجود دارند.
37. A feast for the first night of the Prophet and his Bride!
37 . ضيافتي براي اولين شب پيغامبر و عروسش
38. A feast for the three days of the writing of the Book of the Law.
38 . ضيافتي براي سه روز نگارش كتاب شريعت
39. A feast for Tahuti and the child of the Prophet - secret, O Prophet!

40. A feast for the Supreme Ritual, and a feast for the Equinox of the Gods.

41. A feast for fire and a feast for water; a feast for life and a greater feast for death!
