فصل اول

1. Had! The manifestation of Nuit.

1. هد! نمود نو . ت

2. The unveiling of the company of heaven.

2. پرده دري انجمن بهشت.

3. Every man and every woman is a star.

3. هر مرد و هر زن يك ستاره است.

4. Every number is infinite; there is no difference.

4. هر عدد نامحدود است؛ تفاوتي نيست.

5. Help me, o warrior lord of Thebes, in my unveiling before the Children of Men.

5. كمكم كن، اي سرور تب ، س در پرده دري درحضور فرزندان انسان

6. Be thou Hadit, my secret centre, my heart & my tongue!

6. باش تو هديت ، سر ميان من، قلب من و زبان من.

7. Behold! it is revealed by Aiwass the minister of Hoor-Paar-kraat.

7. هان! آشكار مي گردد توسط آيواس ، پيشكار هور−پار−كرات

8. The Khabs is in the Khu, not the Khu in the Khabs.

8. خابز در خو است، نه خو در خابز

9. Worship then the Khabs, and behold my light shed over you!

9. آنگه خابز را عبادت كن، و بر نورم بر تو افكنده بنگر!

10. Let my servants be few & secret: they shall rule the many and the known.

10 . بگذار خادمينم قليل و محرم باشند: ببايد حكم رانند بر بسيار و شناخته.

11. These are fools that men adore; both their Gods and their men are fools.

11 . اينان نادانانند كه انسانها مي ستايند؛ خدايانشان و انسانهايشان نادانند.

12. Come forth, o Children, under the stars, & take your fill of love.

12 . پيش آييد، اي فرزندان زير ستارگان و لبريز عشق را بر گيريد.

13. I am above you and in you. My ecstasy is in yours. My joy is to see your joy.

13 . من فراتر از شمايم و درون شما. حظ من در از براي شماست.

The naked splendour of Nuit;

She bends in ecstasy to kiss

The secret ardours of Hadit.

The winged globe, the starry blue,

Are mine, O Ankh-af-na-khonsu!

15. Now ye shall know that the chosen priest and apostle of infinite space is the

princepriest the Beast; and in his woman called the Scarlet Woman is all power given.

They shall gather my children into their fold; they shall bring the glory of the stars into

the hearts of men.

15 . حال تو خواهي دانست كه موبد برگزيده و فرستاده وسعت نامحدود، دي ، وامير−موبد است؛ و

در زنش، زن مخمل ، ي همه قدرت نهاده شده. فرزندانم را در حصار خود گرد خواهند آورند؛ بايد كه جلال

ستارگان را به قلوب انسانها بياورند.

16. For he is ever a sun, and she a moon. But to him is the winged secret flame, and to

her the stooping starlight.

16 . كه او همواره خورشيدي است، و اؤ 1 يك ماه. ولي به اوست بارقه رمزي بالدار، و به اؤست

پرتو نور خميده.

17. But ye are not so chosen.

17 . ولي تو بدان شكل برگزيده نشدي.

18. Burn upon their brows, o splendrous serpent.

18 . شعله زن بر ابروانشان، اي مار پرشكوه.

19. O azure-lidded woman, bend upon them!

19 . اي زن لاجورد چشم، بر آنان طاق زن.

20. The key of the rituals is the secret word which I have given unto him.

20 . كليد آيينها كلمه اي رمزي است كه من بدانها دادم.

21. With the God & the Adorer I am nothing; they do not see me. They are as upon the

earth;I am Heaven, and there is no other God than me and my lord Hadit.

21 . به همراه خدا و ستايشگر من هيچم؛ آنها مرا نمي بينند.آنان بر زمينند؛ من بهشت هستم، و

خداي ديگري جز من و سرورم هديت نيست.

22. Now, therefore, I am known to ye by my name Nuit, and to him by a secret name

which I will give him when at last he knoweth me. Since I am Infinite Space and the

infinite stars thereof, do ye also thus. Bind nothing! Let there be no difference made

among you between any one thing & any other thing; for thereby there cometh hurt.

22 . حال، بدانسو، من با نام نوت به تو شناخته شده ام، و به او با نامي رمزي كه به وي كه در

غايت مرا شناخت عرضه خواهم كرد. از آنجا كه من وسعت نامحدود هستم و ستاره هاي نامحدود آن، تو

نيز چنيني. اسير هيچ مباش! مگذار تفاوتي بين تو و هر چيز واحد و هر چيز ديگر پديد آيد؛ چراكه بدان راه

همانا زيان آيد.

23. But whoso availeth in this, let him be the chief of all!

23 . ولي هر آنكه از اين سود برد، بگذار سالار همگان باشد.

24. I am Nuit, and my word is six and fifty.

24 . من نوت هستم، و كلمه ام شش و پنجاه.

25. Divide, add, multiply, and understand.

25 . بخش كن، جمع كن، ضرب كن و بفهم.

26. Then saith the prophet and slave of the beauteous one: Who am I, and what shall be

the sign? So she answered him, bending down, a lambent flame of blue, all-touching, all

penetrant, her lovely hands upon the black earth, & her lithe body arched for love, and

her soft feet not hurting the little flowers: Thou knowest! And the sign shall be my

ecstasy, the consciousness of the continuity of existence, the omnipresence of my body.

26 . سپس گفت پيغامبر و برده يگانه زيبا: من كيم، و نشان چه خواهد بود؟ پس اؤ به وي پاسخ داد،

طاق زده، شعله اي ملايم آبي، بسيار اثربخش، بسيار نافذ، دستان دلپذيرش بر بالاي زمين سياه، و بدن

نرمش خميده به مهر، و پاي نرمش كه زيان نرساند به گلهاي كوچك: تو دانستي! و آگاهي از استمرار وجود،

حضور بدن من، نشان حظ من خواهد بود.

27. Then the priest answered & said unto the Queen of Space, kissing her lovely brows,

and the dew of her light bathing his whole body in a sweet-smelling perfume of sweat: O

Nuit, continuous ne of Heaven, let it be ever thus; that men speak not of Thee as One but

as None; and let them speak not of thee at all, since thou art continuous!

27 . آنگاه موبد پاسخ داد و به شهبانوي وسعت گفت، با بوسه اي بر ابروان دلپذيرش، و بر ژاله

نورش كه سراسر بدن وي را در عطر شيرين بوي عرق استحمام مي كرد: اي نو ، ت يگانه مدوام بهش ، ت

بگذار همواره چنين باشد؛ آنان از تو به يك سخن نمي گويد بل هي ؛ چ و مگذار ابدا از تو سخن گويند، از آنرو

كه مداومي!

28. None, breathed the light, faint & faery, of the stars, and two.

28 . هيچ، دم زد نور را، ضعف و پري را، از ستارگان، و دو.

29. For I am divided for love's sake, for the chance of union.

29 . چراكه من به جهت عشق تقسيم شده ام، براي شانس وحدت.

30. This is the creation of the world, that the pain of division is as nothing, and the joy of

dissolution all.

30 . اين خلقت عالم است، كه درد تقسيم همانند هيچ است، و لذت انحلال همه.

31. For these fools of men and their woes care not thou at all! They feel little; what is, is

balanced by weak joys; but ye are my chosen ones.

31 . چراكه اين نادانان انسانها و اندوههايشان ابدا غم تو ندارند؛ آنچه هست، با لذات سست متعادل

مي شود؛ ولي تو برگزيده مني.

32. Obey my prophet! follow out the ordeals of my knowledge! seek me only! The joys

of my love will redeem ye form all pain. This is so: I swear it by the vault of my body; by

my sacred heart and tongue; by all I can give, by all I desire of ye all!

32 . اطاعت كن پيغامبر من! اردالي 1 هاي دانش من را به انجام رسان! فقط مرا بجوي! لذات عشق من

تو را از همه دردها رهايي مي دهد. چنين است: به گنبد بدنم قسم مي خورم؛ با قلب و زبان مقدسم؛ با هر

آنچه مي توانم به تو بدهم، به همه شوقي كه به همه شما دارم!

33. Then the priest fell into a deep trance or swoon, & said unto the Queen of Heaven;

Write unto us the ordeals; write unto us the rituals; write unto us the law!

33 . سپس موبد به خلسه يا ضعف عميقي رفت و به شهبانوي بهشتگفت؛ اردالي ها را بر ما بگو؛

آيينها را بر ما بگو؛ شريعت را بر ما بگو!

34. But she said: the ordeals I write not, the rituals shall be half known and half

concealed: the law is for all.

34 . ولي اؤ گفت: اردالي ها را ننويسم، آيين ها بايد نيمه دانسته و نيمه مخفي باشند: قانون براي

همه است.

35. This that thou writest is the threefold book of law.

35 . اين كه تو مي نويسي شريعتي سه گانه است.

36. My scribe Ankh-af-na-khonsu, the priest of the princes, shall not in one letter change

this book; but lest there be folly, he shall comment thereupon by the wisdom of Ra-Hoor-

Khu-it.

36 . كاتب من، ا نخ−ف−ن−خُنسو، موبد اميران، نبايست اي كتاب حتي در يك حرف تغيير يابد؛ ولي

مبادا نابخردي باشد، در نتيجه وي با دانايي را−هور−خويت تفسير خواهد نوشت.

37. Also the mantras and spells, the obeah and the wanga; the work of the wand and the

work of the sword; these he shall learn and teach.

37 . همينطور ذكرها و اوراد، طلسم 2 و افسون 3، كاركرد عصا 4 و كاركرد شمشير را؛ اينها بايد

بياموزد و بياموزاند.

38. He must teach, but he may make severe the ordeals.

38 . او بايد آموزش دهد، ولي او بايد اردالي ها را سخت كند.

39. The word of the law is θελημα. (ΘΕΛΗΜΑ)

θελημα 39 . كلمه شريعت 5 است (ΘΕΛΗΜΑ) .

40. Who calls us Thelemites will do no wrong. if he look but close into the word. For

there are therein Three Grades, the Hermit, and the Lover, and the Man of earth. Do what

thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

40 . آنكه ما را تلمايت بنامد خطا نكرده است. اگر كه در كلمه بنگرد بل دقيق. چرا كه در آن سه رتبه

هست، تارك دني،ا عاش ، ق و مرد زمين 6. چنان كن آنچه خواهي، كل شريعت بود.

41. The word of Sin is Restriction. O man! refuse not thy wife, if she will! O lover, if

thou wilt, depart! There is no bond that can unite the divided but love: all else is a curse.

Accursed! Accursed be it to the aeons! Hell!

41 . كلمه گنا ، ه محدوديت است.اي مرد! همسرت را را رد مكن، اگر اؤ مي خواهد! اي عاشق، اگر تو

مي خواهي، روانه شو! ميثاقي نيست كه بتواند جدا شده را يكي كند جز عشق: همه ديگر نفرين است. نفرين

شده! نفرين شده باد در اعصار! جهنم!

42. Let it be that state of manyhood, bound and loathing. So with thy all; thou hast no

right but to do thy will.

42 . بگذار آن حال تكثر بماند، محصور و منفور. پس با همگانتان، تو هيچ حق نداري جز انجام اراده

ات.

43. Do that, and no other shall say nay.

43 . آن كن، و هيچ ديگري نه نخواهد گفت.

44. For pure will, unassuaged of purpose, delivered from the lust of result, is every way

perfect.

44 . براي اراده ات، بي تخفيف مقصود، آزاد از شهوت نتيجه، همه ره كمال است.

45. The Perfect and the Perfect are one Perfect and not two; nay, are none!

45 . كمال و كمال يك كمال هستند و نه دو؛ نه! هيچند!

46. Nothing is a secret key of this law. Sixty-one the Jews call it; I call it eight, eighty,

four hundred & eighteen.

46 . هيچ كليد سري اين شريعت است. شصت و يك نامندش يهوديان، من آن را هشت، هشتاد، چهار

صد و هجده مي نامم.

47. But they have the half; unite by thine art so that all disappear.

47 . ولي آنها نيمه را دارند؛ يكي با مال تو چنانند كه همه ناپديد مي شوند.

48. My prophet is a fool with his one, one, one; are not they the Ox, and none by the

Book?

48 . پيغامبرم در يك خود نادان است، يك، يك؛ گاونر نيستند آنها، و هيچ در كتاب؟

49. Abrogate are all rituals, all ordeals, all words and signs. Ra-Hoor-Khuit hath taken his

seat in the East at the Equinox of the Gods; and let Asar be with Isa, who also are one.

But they are not of me. Let Asar be the adorant, Isa the sufferer; Hoor in his name and

splendour is the Lord initiating.

49 . منسوخند همه آيينها، همه اردالي ها، همه كلمات و نشانها. را−هور−خويت مسند خود را در

شرق در اعتدالين خدايان برگرفته؛ و بگذار ا سر1 با ايسا2 باشد، كه همچنان يك هستند. ولي آنان به من

منسوب نيستند. بگذار ا سر ستايشگر باشد، ايسا رنجبر؛ هور در نام و جلالش سرور آغازگر است.

50. There is a word to say about the Hierophantic task. Behold! there are three ordeals in

one, and it may be given in three ways. The gross must pass through fire, let the fine be

tried in intellect, and the lofty chosen ones in the highest. thus ye have star & star, system

& system; let not one know well the other!
